I did the dish liquid and water solution as Michael Burke suggests and it has seemed to have helped with my issue.

Search the forum for 'toothpaste' or 'toothpaste trick' for a different/alternative surface treatment.

I may spoke too soon. I just dowsed the windway again with the solution. Hoping the second round will help.

I treat the windway of my clog-prone whistles with Duponol surfactant (sodium lauryl sulphate), a few drops spread around with a matchstick and allowed to dry. You can find it on Amazon.

The toothpaste trick also works well, particularly with narrow windway aluminum whistles.
