I have some good news regarding my free T3 app. T3 can help you learn to play tunes on the tin whistle but also on other instruments.

I have added several major improvements but the most important one is that T3 can now read ABC Notation tunes. On http://www.abcnotation.com you will find more than half a million tunes, free to download. Store the tune in a file on our computer with the .ABC extension. T3 will recognize the format automatically. All features of T3 work as normal including changing the key, create tabs for harmonica, string instruments and finger charts for wind instruments including whistles in the key of C and D.

On http://www.abcnotation.com you will find a wealth of information about the format to use for your own tunes. T3 still supports harmonica tabs and T3 ABC format so existing tunes will work as before.

NOTE: ABC Notation allows the construction of very complex music scores. As T3 is developed for the beginning and intermediate player, T3 does not support the full ABC notation format. However most ABC notation tunes will work without any or just small changes.

I just update the preview to fix a few bugs and make further improvements. You can now open an ABC file with multiple tunes in one single file. Select the tune from the list to create the score and finger charts.

With the TuneInfo button I show other information included with the tune such as the transcriber, origin, web link etc.
