Does anyone have authoritative knowledge of what year Generation started selling tin whistles?

Kind of hard to say: It appears (from their website) that Generation Music split from Barnes and Mullins in 2006. Prior to that year, B&M manufactured the whistles. B&M started up around 1894, but I can't find anything on when they started making whistles.

I think we've been over this ground so often it's probably not worth getting the rake out again but based on the evidence of available old Generation whistles the early years of the previous century is as good a guess as any. I wouldn't rule out the end of the 19th century either as nickel and brass flageolets of the type appear well established by the turn of the century but it's hard to pinpoint when the brand was established.
