For what it’s worth (I doubt if anyone’s on the edge of their seats, but...) –

I got a few cylindrical whistles (Generation, Feadog), and I’m using an alto recorder swab to clean out the bore after playing (the soprano swab doesn’t quite reach the fipple) (which I’m careful not to touch).

I’m planning to follow the recommendation of some on this thread and get pipe cleaners to clean out the bore of my conical whistles (Clarke original, Shaw). Several people (on this thread and others) have talked about the Clarke rusting otherwise.
