It’s been a long time since I mentioned any of my music apps on the board.

For years I’ve had a friend port several of my iOS music apps to Android.

As I’ve been doing some Java work in my "real" job, I decided to learn how to do the ports myself.

This week I released four new music apps for Android:

Regulators - Uilleann Pipes drones and full set of regulators in D:

This initial Android version of Regulators is pretty basic (just the key of D, no tuning, no adjacent note pair mode) compared to the iOS version which has all the keys and is tuneable, but hey, it's the Regulators app on Android in the most commonly played key.

The next three are pretty much just toys because you can't really have someone putting 8 fingers (6 holes plus octave plus stop) on a tiny phone screen to play a whistle like a real instrument, and that kind of distinct and accurate multitouch isn't on a lot of the lower-end devices. Hopefully someone will get some enjoyment out of them. These only require two fingers. One to pick the note, the other to switch the octave. Samples are from various whistles in my collection.
