New Tunebook Released at CIAW 2017

Post by ytliek »

Whistler and flute player Mike McHale released a new tune book during the Catskills Irish Arts Week: Mike McHale's Favourites

This is not a tutorial but simply a book of tunes. The book was selling well during the week.

The book will be available at Ossian USA and I'm assuming on the Ireland side. And yes, there will be other Volume books too but no date yet.

Have a source and/or table of contents perhaps?

Thanks and best wishes.

I'll have to inquire for a source and get back to forum.

I took a photo of cover and inside bio and intended to post here, but, my free Photobucket subscription now requires an upgrade so I cannot post.

There is no Table of Contents just a bare bones book of tunes.

Gumby's quicker than I am. I was about to mention that, since the PhotoBucket changes, I've been using postimage.org

Perhaps we need a separate thread/sticky re PhotoBucket and how to post photos—but since this really applies across all of the various forums, perhaps the Moderators could advise how to go about a broad announcement like this.

Best wishes.

Ordered from Ossian USA. $25 for the book, $5 shipping in US. Book consists of 100+ pages and 200+ tunes. As the intro suggests, the tunes are those that Mr. McHale has taught in various venues over the years. Some are handwritten, others typeset. And the book is spiral bound so it lies flat on a music stand or table.

Best wishes.
