Received Becker Alto G

Well what can I say? I like it well enough. Has a nice mellow tune, slightly arie, but it plays well in both octaves with an easy transition.

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by "arie"? Do you mean "airy"? If so, what do you mean by that? What does having a "mellow tune" mean? Having a "mellow tune" and being "arie" both imply to me that you mean that it sounds lyrical. Mind you, I wouldn't know what that meant either ...

To be honest, I'm not even sure what an "easy transition" means either.

I'm properly confused ...

Likely autocorrect on a phone.....

I read that as.......has a nice mellow tone, a little bit airy sounding, with a fairly easy second octave.
Keith.
Trying to do justice to my various musical instruments.

Ah. Maybe. I'm sorry. It is my fault on such things. I genuinely find it hard to understand, as I tend to look for meanings in the words that are there, rather than the ones that aren't. It's some sort of brain quirk of mine, I think.

I'm in Orange County CA too, perhaps we could get together sometime and I could hear the Becker and you could play any of my whistles you might like.

Never heard or played a Becker, I'm interested in it.

I have the Becker high D, C, and the alto A. I enjoy playing them, especially the A, and they really are affordable. Maybe I will get the G one day.

Sorry. I was voice typing the OP and I was in a hurry so I did not proofread it well.
Fatmac [thank you] gave the correct interpretation.
