'Suited for whistles' do you mean that as written in D,G etc?

The Carolan sections in O'Neill's (including the Krassen edition) should get you started. If you are interested in seeing the tunes reunited with their original words Catriona Rowsome's work is the way to go. If you want to stay on-line and cheap, the Old Music project will go a long way and I believe they are mostly (all?) transposed to the D/G region..

Try here.... http://www.oldmusicproject.com/occ/tunes.html

All of the tunes compiled in Donal O'Sullivan's book are listed here. You may have to transpose some into more whistle compliant keys, but they're all here.

Best wishes.

As Gumby hints at (without drawing attention to it) the name is Carolan (Cearbhallan in Irish) without the "O".

If you're interested in Carolan or his music you owe it to yourself to get the Donal O Sullivan 2-volume work Carolan: The Life, Times, and Music of an Irish Harper.

Tell us something.: Hello! I am a flute player from Italy, I'm lurking this forum by years, and now I want to register my account. Really, I have a flute to sell, but surely I approve your rules, and I will contribute to the forum to gain the rights to sell something. :^)

Try Brian Keenan's Turlough as well, for a fictionalised account (review).

Yes but no. In English you can drop the O.
In Irish it's Ó Cearbhalláin.
