In a new picture book, Reunions, photographer Chris Porsz captures a tin whistle player playing a generation. Can't tell if its a red top or blue, as the original photo is in black and white, and sadly, altogether absent from the revisited photo. http://designyoutrust.com/2016/11/photo ... le-images/

Re: Reunions
I'd guess red top. Here's why.
Look at the barrel. No shine at all. If it were a blue topped nickel, one would expect to see at least some tiny glossy spot.
I'm calling brass red top.

- Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Re: Reunions
I also think it's a red top. It's much paler than a blue top would be in a black and white photo, I reckon.
