anyone played one of these?

Post by pancelticpiper »

I'd never heard of this maker until just now.

Gorgeous work. It appears to be Overton-based.

The guy is a great player, both on whistle and on uilleann pipes.

Has anyone played one of his Low D whistles?

(By the way it was interesting to see that the Russian for "demo" is... "demo")

The guy has been making whistles for quite some time now and has only now opted for offering them on Ebay.

This is his page on Russian FB equivalent: https://vk.com/whistles_workshop

Just let me know if you want to see additional photos or audio. I have some on my VK social net page ( https://vk.com/whistles_workshop , https://vk.com/albums-74845461 ) , but don't sure it will be handy for everybody to visit russian pages and translate it in google translator) I will try to start a multilanguage web site this year but there is so much work around now...
Glad to see my instruments after all those years on good-old C&F

Mostly i was in Uilleann pipes part of forum, so it's good time and reason to say "hello!" to whistle part)

Hi Alex!

Those whistles look lovely. I'd love to try some of them next time you are in Ireland :)

Tell us something.: I play high and low whistle with Traditional Irish Music being my focus of interest. I love Irish music and consider it as a direct connection to my Irish heritage. I enjoy participation in whistle tours, chatting with other players, and learning much from the many talented folks that frequent C & F.

Alex,
Welcome to the C & F Whistle Forum. Your whistles are beautiful to the eye and having listened to you play with Brian Finnegan the word "masterful" comes immediately to mind. Great craftsmanship and art combined.

Good luck in all of your efforts.

Cheers,
Cayden

Beautiful whistles. I'm also curious to know more about how the designs in the metal are created.
Life is good.

At the moment i don't making high Eb, D, C. I need to remake some machinery and special devices for that. Hope to start making them in next 6 month. It's very complicated and not fast process. All news about it you can check on my web pages
