Wow, that is a beautiful whistle. I think Killick has a nice ring to it.

An early prototype had brass rings above the window and at the bottom of the wood (it was bocote). I decided to taper the bottom to give a better wood to brass transition, so I couldn't put a ring at the bottom. Because there is no brass at the bottom, I had to leave the wood a little thicker, for strength, so the brass I have isn't the right size for the top. Short answer: No, it won't be available with brass rings on the mouthpiece.

thanks for replying (both the long and short answer i really like the rings on the new rovers, btw. but these new whistles still look great without, as well.
