I was hoping that someone could help me identify the maker of my Low D whistle. It was bought about 15-20 years ago, from Macaris Music Shop in Denmark Street, London. It is made from Aluminium and not tunable. It has a great tone.
I did wonder if it was an Overton, but the head profile is not square.
Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack Make a new plan, Stan You don't need to be coy, Roy Just get yourself free Hop on the bus, Gus You don't need to discuss much Just drop off the key, Lee And get yourself free
It looks like my OS chieftain D whistle.
Look down inside the window. are the two sides flat and not curved like the tone tube? That is an insert sometimes referred to as “wings”. Later and with other brands of whistles the head was made flat. Why is a topic for discussion in another post. Could be it helps focus the air stream to the blade?
