Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

My copy of this came today. It's very nicely put together, as has been noted already. Many (probably a large majority) of the tunes come from Joanie's recordings (solo or with CTL) and are clearly marked as to the CD or CDs where each tune appears. Some of the tunes are ones that she has taught at workshops or played in some setting or other, but which haven't made it to CD yet. For instance, there's a transcription of "Hector the Hero" that I'd love to hear her play.

The books divided into sections:
Jigs, Slipjigs, Slides
Reels
Hornpipes
Barn Dances
Marches
Polkas
Slow Tunes: Airs, Waltzes

One especially nice aspect is that the Airs and Waltzes have chords written for them.

Plain and simple, this is a wonderful collection.

I believe so since it's only been a little over 2 months since I received mine. Check the earlier posts for an email address.

I wish I had thought to have Jean Lewis sign her work. I like to have signed copies of all my books whenever possible. (I'm not a collector -- it's just fun to have signed copies.)

Joanie was kind enough to sign my copy when I last saw her, but Jean put in all the hard work!

It's on my Christmas list. And if the last package is opened and I don't find Joanie's tune book in it, well, I'll just have to take matters into my own hands. (Sell my wife's presents and buy the tune book). :D

Just curious... I'm from Argentina, there is a possibility of paying it through MoneyGram?

Ok, I've already written an e-mail to Jean Lewis asking her if I can do the payment through MoneyGram and she can't because there's not an agent near of her.

So, people, if some of you are going to buy the book and can do the favor to me of buying 2 books, I can send you the money of the book + shipment to Argentina through MoneyGram before you send me the book.
I know I'm asking too much, but I lose nothing by asking..

Bothrops, I'll check into what it would cost to ship them. I would be glad to do it if it is feasible.

[Thread revival. - Mod]

I am hoping to find a copy of Joannie Madden's Tune Book. Before I mail off a check does anyone know if this information is still valid? And if any copies are available?
Please make out a check to Jean Lewis for $25 and send it to:
