Burke low F question

Post by Zabava77 »

I own Burke brass whistle in A, and like the sound of it very much. I wanted to get his low F, but learned that he only makes them in aluminum. Does anyone have such whistle, and how does it compare with his brass ones? I generally don't care much for aluminum as a material... Any suggestions on brass in low F that has a sweet sound, like Burke whistles?
Thank you!

I have a Burke F and it's a great player no doubt.

I've never owned a brass Burke. People who own the same Burke whistle in both brass and aluminum have said there's a difference in sound, perhaps one of these people will chime in.

I also have a Burke in F and it's a fantastic whistle, full, sweet sound, I would say almost evocative.
Sorry for my bad english...

Thank you! I may go for aluminum F after all. I love my Burke whistles!
