FS: Chieftain low D (model NR) SOLD

Offering a Chieftain Low D made in January 2007. According to Phil Hardy it is an NR model. Non-tunable. Great whistle. It just doesn’t get played much. Needs a new home where it can be played a lot. Asking $100 or best plus shipping. Prefer US since international posting seems pretty iffy these day...

Re: Suggestions for a travel and practice whistle?

Of the three whistles named in the OP, I have two of them. I have a Dixon Trad and the Susato V series. Both are excellent. I bought the Trad when they were first offered by Dixon. It is every bit as “sweet” as the rumors would have us believe. Easy blower. Good intonation throughout. Tunable. And i...

Re: An unusual “in search of”

I’ve reached out to Paul. His response left me thinking he wasn’t that excited about the project.

As for printing the whistle, I appreciate the offer, but it really does need to be in red. Thank you, though.

Anybody else have some thoughts?

An unusual “in search of”

Hello, All!

Does anybody around here know of a whistle maker who has made, is currently making, or has the ability to make a High D in Red Delrin? Or does anybody have one they would be willing to sell or trade?

Thank you in advance,

Re: Easiest 2nd Octave Whistle

Of the whistles I’ve played, the very small bore Susato Kildare is far and away the easiest second and third octave whistle I’ve played. Not even remotely shrill in upper end of range.

Crystal clear tone. Tunable. Great intonation.
