That's not a cap. It's just a shadow from the flash.
Hmm. Gives me another idea. How about a cork from a bottle of Patron or comething?

One thing I wonder about with classical musicans, the ones that are really very good, is why they do not sound Irish. I mean, if they are really very good musicians they ought to be able to hear that they do not sound the same with the vibrato and the tonguing and playing rolls as turns etc. So why ...

Too much competition and comparison going on there.
Why not ditch the whistle and learn to accompany him with some other instrument? You could try one of these. I've seen them in person, they sound nice and look great.

Or you could play guitar or bodhran, too.

A good thing to practice, if you want to do boring, monotonous practicing, is to practice ornaments on the scales. Look for Ryan Dunn's You Tube videos. They're searchable and also they are posted on WhistleThis.com. WhistleThis also has a monthly or so tune to learn and you can go back and learn th...

You could try Casey Burns, too. He makes nice flutes. Not sure what mid-level means. I'm not sure I'd consider his flutes mid level, unless you leave out the tuning slides. But I'd think you'd want at least that much for the second stage of fluting.

The one about the kid who went climbing in Utah and had to cut off his hand when it became trapped under a rock i...

The trouble with growing an avocado tree from a seed is that you won't get a good tree. Good, productive avocado trees are grafted to a root stock of a different variety. If the graft part dies, the root stock part will grow, but will not produce good fruit. We have one, about 40' tall, that is grow...

You can learn from sheet music if you want, but if you've forgotten how to read it, it's not really important that you MUST learn to read it again. When you take classical music instruction learning to read music is a MUST, as is learning to play it EXACTLY AS WRITTEN. Folk music just ain't like tha...
