I got a plastic high D tunable and I'm verry happy with it. It's definately softer than a susato and plays pretty good. Onely downfall is the tendency to overblow it

Tips for switching away from tabs

I can play some songs from my head now and some more from tabs. But I want off those tabs! Mostely beacause I won't have to translate the music to tabs annymore before playing.
Anny hints/tips?


And how long did you guys take to learn and play from written music?

After reading your replies and some other things here on the web I think I'm gonna go for the Dixon (most likely the trad). The o'brien and the sweetone are still a bit above the "whistle budget" because I also still have my "guitar budget" in my "music portfolio". @ B...
