Re: Coffee

When they start with the "Venti" and "Grande", etc., I start speaking to them in Italian (which I know enough to place a coffee order), then wait for the deer-in-the-headlights look.

Re: Why is the flute forum highlighted for me?

Don't know ... Sometimes the board software gets out of sync, like the rest of us.

Just go into the Flute Forum and click "Mark topics read" above the "Last Post" column header on the right. That should reset your data flags. If not, let us know.

Re: total-lunar-eclipse-supermoon Sept 27,28 2015

It was beautiful here, floating low among the eucalyptus branches. Looked great thorough my WW-2 vintage Sard binocs. Though I had the timetable posted on my monitor, I nearly forgot until a friend called me and screamed: "Don't forget to LOOK AT THE MOON!". Blood is a pretty accurate desc...

Re: Which recorder shop should I use for wood recorders

The above two shops do not response my email, which makes me disappointed. Perhaps you should take into account that 1. von Huene is a small shop and maker that caters to high priority professional players as well as the general public, and Lazar's is a single individual; 2. With the long Labor Day...

No. But you also do not buy them a piano that is literally unplayable. And the flutes you linked to earlier are, unfortunately, likely to be exactly that.

Re: What's with all the buying/selling posts?

I'm seeing pipes for sale here, whistles for sale in the whistle forum... But isn't that what the used instruments exchange is for? No, not exactly. The UIE is meant specifically as a "safe haven" for those who wish to post straightforward "classified" type offers, without price...
