whistle for sale-SOLD!!!!!
Hey all I'm thinking about selling my Glenn Schultz Water Weasel in D (soprano). I don't really play it as much as it should be played. Its non-tunable and it's engraved date is 5/2005. It has zero scratches on it, and I still have the original plastic case it came in. It doesn't have the PVC code o...

hey nice recording. Yeah I love my feadog, and breath control isn't really an issue anymore since i've been practicing with it for the last year ( i figured if i could make a feadog sound sweet then i'd have breath control down pact). I guess what i was looking for was something quieter than the fea...

Looking for an Alba Q1
Hey all it's been a while since i last posted, but I'm feelin the WHoA once again. I'm interested in getting a soft/quieter whistle than what i have now (so i don't drive my roommates crazy-or next door neighbors). So i saw that the alba Q1 soprano whistle is supposed to be a quiet whistle and i fig...

i had a feeling that it was a kerry F, but it doesn't quite sound like the clips on the web. Plus if you look at the hole spacing it looks different than the photos on the kerry site for his F (based on the video clips of his F). So i'm sure i'm probably wrong, but i think it might be something diff...

Name that whistle!
Ok guys here's a test. This is a clip of McGoldrick playing a whistle, but what type of whistle is it? I think it sounds amazing, but then anything he plays tends to do so. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LBfRjZc ... ed&search=
let me know what you guys think.

i normally start off thinking i'm only going to play one or two songs, but then the sound of the whistle makes me play more, and more, to the point where i've played almost all the songs i know really well at present. Then i start trying to learn something new because the old songs are getting borin...

well it's along the same idea of the physics of a whistle, you blow into the tube and the windway creates air turbulence, this sets up a standing wave inside the tube (a different one for each tone depending on how many holes are open or closed). The whistler is the same idea, only instead of a soun...
