Re: Newbie Technique Question
Actually, on the Boehm flute, the right-hand pinkie is depressed the majority of the time. It's usually only raised for D natural in the first and second octaves. So when this classically-trained flutist (me) picks up a keyless flute, the pinkie wants to stay down, on the body of the flute.

Re: Gig Bag
Flute World has a huge selection of flute bags of various styles. Some of these can be pretty high-end (and expensive!). Here's one that seems to be a good value - http://www.fluteworld.com/index.php?action=prod&wart=52793&ppk=ccab . I like the ebags downloader backpack, at http://www.ebags....

Yes, I have a Peter Noy blackwood headjoint for a Boehm flute available. Beautiful, and has a very woody sound. Please PM me if interested.

FS: John Gallagher Keyed Flute and Peter Noy Boehm Headjoint
Hi all: I'd like to sell my John Gallagher Rudall style blackwood flute. The flute has a lined headjoint, silver rings, 4 keys (G#, right hand Bb lever, short F, and D#. It also has a thumb hole for C natural (in a very comfortable position). This small-holed flute has a surprisingly big, focused so...
