Has anyone made or mapped any Bb chanters? I think I remember reading somewhere that someone was working on a C. Thanks!

Re: WTB: Vinyl bag
The "vinyl" bags I have seen on Northumbrian pipes have either been made by Dave Shaw or by me. They are actually canvas coated on both sides with liquid latex. They have advantages over leather in that they are absolutely air tight right from the start, super easy to fix if a leak develo...

Cleaning Advice
Hello, My set is in need of a good cleaning. I was wondering if there were any cleaning tips for brass/wood. Last time I polished up the brass I had a hard time getting in all those little parts. Any recommendations? Also, is there something you do for wood? I appreciate the feedback! Also, I am ass...

Re: I invented something!
Thanks for the input. You can adjust the size of the roll pretty easily. I think if I was buying or mostly using individual sets of strings it makes sense to keep them in the original packs. My problem came during a tour. It was the best way I could come up with to keep my gig bag clean and be able ...

I invented something!
Hey all, Normally I am a bit more active over on the Uilleann piping forum. I am a guitar player in The Drowsy Lads. I thought I would shoot this over to see what y'all think. I invented and patented The String Stash. It's the best way to store your guitar strings. Strings are kept rust-free and org...

NEED - Penny Chanter Reed
Hey everyone, I need a reed! I am trying to sell a practice penny chanter set I bought years ago to a friend of mine. However, the original reed has become nearly unusable. I have reached out to Dave a few times but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone have a spare reed that they can part with o...

Mystery Chanter
I am helping a student get a reed in a chanter and I am not sure who made it. Someone gave it to him and he doesn't know. It only has an engraving on the bellows. Does this look familiar to anyone? Thanks for the help. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0819/5987/files/image1.JPG?9321252563846736033
