I recently had the amazing opportunity to play with Pat Broderick (Galway piper, Shaskeen) a few weekends ago. It was amazing. My point is; he has a left handed Dave Williams set. Not only is the set completely beautiful, but it sounds amazing. It truely is about the whole package. But, there is som...

Thanks alot. I guess i am not to concerned with forcing myself into one style. I really just wanted to know the more technical reasons for the both styles. You mentioned Jonny Doran, who would be some other pipers for the open style? Thanks again, i won't try and pigeonhole myself.

Tight Piping vs Loose (open) piping

What classifies each style? Which do you prefer? What are the benefits of each? Who are some great pipers for each style? -i am asking this because i find it hard to really pin it down. I get confused sometimes when i hear a piper and I think he is playing in one style and then some one says he is p...

Like he said, I am sure that there are a good number of people looking to upgrade their practice sets (including myself). How much was the set of drones originally? Maybe that would help in establishing a good resale value. All the best. - i just always wanted to use one of these little icon...

I can't tell anyone how hard i am laughing right now. It just kept getting better. I think she became more mentally unstable as the video progressed. A tip of the hat to her.

Where can i get reed making Supplies?

I have been playing pipes for a couple of years. As i play more i am beginning to become more picky about what i want out of my chanter. I figure it would be the best idea to learn how to make my own reeds. Before you start laughing at me, i know its hard. I know how long it takes. I know that i mig...

I am not sure if there are any pipers in Cincy. As someone posted before there are a few pipers in Dayton. I even think that there are a few in between. Piping isn't very big in these parts. There are a few in columbus. But they aren't very public figures. There is some good stuff going on in columb...

i was afraid that the drones would be very loud and shrill in relation to a blackwood chanter. Thanks for the response. I am sorry that i can't spell. I am an idiot

Daye Delrin Drones

Has anyone played or have any experience Dave's drones? How do they compare to wood drones? Are there large accoutic differences? For some reason i think that they are extremely loud. Is this true? Thanks
