Regulator woes
Hello peoples I was playing my Rogge concert set at an outdoor event in high heat and humidity. Suddenly the baritone reg refused to make a sound. I tried moving the bridle up, down, all over and still nothing. The blades had not closed shut. I assume I will have to take the reed out and really exam...

Re: Found a new old set of pipes (Coyne)---who restores/ makes reed for them
The set that Tom called the "piob Naofa" was in B, if I recall correctly. I also remember a Coyne set in boxwood. That one went to
Bill McKenty who later sold it.

Bag cover source?
Hi folks,
Does anyone know of a source for a bag cover for a Rogge D set?
I'm starting to notice stinky-leather syndrome.
Thanks!

Re: Reed making
I purchased two reeds, chanter unseen, from Hendrik Morgenbrodt http://www.morgenbrodt-pipes.de/index.php/de/ Because he had worked with Andreas Rogge, there was no need to send my Rogge chanter. Both reeds worked perfectly out of the box. I know its an unusual circumstance, but it is possible to ge...

Re: Any recomendations for old tune collections?
I'm a big fan of O'Farrell's. Its available at IMSLP.
I've been pounding away at Jackson's Welcome Home, The Maids In The Morning and the Humors of Ballinamult.
Its full of tunes that we don't hear a lot, but should.

Re: Cobbler's Polka
That's the one. I love the old DeDanaan recording, but its fun to do those 16th runs on pipes. I think
I'll learn it in Bm, substitute the f# and keep practicing until I can pop a b now and then. If nothing else
its a good exercise for that octave. Thanks.

Cobbler's Polka
Hi Pipey People... On the Mustard board, somebody brought up the tune The Cobbler's Polka. I would love to glue it to the back of Din Terrane's and saw that the abc puts in in Bm. I have a BEAST of a time trying to pop low to high b octaves (even slowly) and was wondering if anyone else plays this t...

First, you must learn the grip.....again....maybe...
So I'm having a beast of a time incorporating regs. Granted I've only had a full working set since last October, but I can't seem to move about and hang onto the chanter at the same time. I've been playing for about ten years and started to re-examine my hand position. After looking at a lot of vide...

Re: A Belt in the Bellows
My set is from 2017... I've tried to email Mr. R. on three occasions and never got an answer.
From the look of the pic Fergus, I think I'll just live with the current strap. As the old saying goes if it ain't broke
... Thanks!

A Belt in the Bellows
Yes it would make a good tune title... I was wondering if any owners of Rogge sets have ever tried to change the arm belt on the bellows. I replaced the waist belt with a nylon strap and cam buckle and it is SO easy to get in and out of. I would like to do the same to the arm strap, but the cushion ...

Re: Ralph Sweet baroque flute any good? and other questions
I concur with the Bernolin votes. I have a 415 Hottetere that I play outdoors a LOT during the summer, and in addition to sounding great it is zero maintenence and practically indestructible. Aulos makes a Stanesby "ivory" model, but they are molded, not turned live the B. Wooden transvers...
