buying whistles in bulk

I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that I can make a purchase of 40 or 50 whistles and get a bulk discount? They're for a non-profit summer program here in Cleveland exposing kids to different aspects of Irish culture. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like it might be a pito de llaves, or keyed recorder. Here's a (translated) link with a picture and sound clip: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.tamborileros.com/tradiberia/aerfono2.htm&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%...

I just got a Tipple last week, with all the bells and whistles, and it plays fantastically. The end price was a little under $100, but is well worth much more. I highly recommend it if you want to try the flute but don't want to sink a large investment.

I've got to second Brian Bigley-- he's a great piper. PM me if you want his contact details.

I got a non-tunable low F from Lark in the AM a couple of months ago. Couldn't be happier with it--it's a beautiful whistle and well worth what I paid for it.

I definetly agree. The Glackin/Hannan album is one of my all time favorites. Excellent find Keith.

15 notes is pretty good on the whistle, so you're doing fine there. At this point you'd probably want to pick up a book tutor that has fingering and scale information in it. I don't have any experience with them myself, but I've heard Grey Larson makes a good book. I'm sure that others have opined o...

I never had much luck recording to the computer despite using a variety of mics. I think my problem is either: A) lack of a sound card, my computer uses built in audio That's something I've encountered too. I'm going to upgrade my soundcard in a couple of weeks here, so hopefully that will fix it. ...

That sounds like it would work. All you need to record on your computer is some kind of input and then a program that records. Audacity is a great (and free) program for recording that lets you do some editing and then convert to mp3. Keep in mind with your input though that the quality of mic will ...

I bought one of those cheap flutes off of ebay a couple of months ago (a Pakistani model I think). Classifying it as a musical instrument was generous, to say the least. It was more like fancy-looking kindling. It had a 7 day guarantee, and you'd better believe it was in the mail the day after I got...
