7mm would be an enormous throat yeah. I think it's more likely 7mm is the size of the top of the reed seat ie the seller has just measured the hole at the 2 ends.

Hi If the drone gets sharper under pressure, shorten the tongue. If it gets flatter, lengthen it. Do this by moving the bridles up or down.
