Re: An interesting find on Amazon

Before the "embargo" on Russian whistles I bought one of these in "C" (high). The sound was not what I was hoping for. The best I can describe the one I got is to make a comparison of other whistles. I would call them (at least the one I got) the Generation or Feadog of wood whi...

Re: An interesting find on Amazon

If the build quality and performance of it is that good, you've lucked out that it also has the metal mouthpiece, to assist long-term reliability. Can you post a video on YouTube of it being played? I'm just coming back to the hobby, so I'll try to round out a tune to a point where I'm not a comple...

Re: An interesting find on Amazon

Found this on amazon and bought on a whim and it turned out to be really quite good! It's sounds and plays pretty well. It does take more air than my Dixon so it's taken a minute to acclimate. It's from a brand I've never heard of before: iVolga Is that a brand anyone's had any experience with in t...

Re: An interesting find on Amazon

I have one just like it, got it from the person selling the Kerry busker whistles I bought. The amount of air it takes suits me quite well. David Oh yeah, the air requirement is much lower than I was anticipating. If you'll forgive the pun, it's a breath of fresh air. It's not a greedy whistle at a...

Well, hello there!

Do we still do forum introductions? I don't know if anyone still remembers me, but looking around the forums I recognize a number of names. That makes me very happy to see, I'm glad this community has held together like it has; my memories of C&F have always been fond ones and I'm glad it'...

Hmm, never knew she had her own show.
I'll have to look that one up.

My favorite episode of all time, by the way.....

Re: Which of the X-Men would you like to have as a Best Friend?

I've always identified with Hank McCoy. Both geeks in various ways, both corporally larger than the average person, excelled academically and in sports (Hank played football, I played hockey), loners in many ways despite being surrounded by people like ourselves. http://img.search.com/thumb/9/9b/New...

The Eleventh Doctor

So, I've been following the new Doctor Who series since Matt Smith took over the roll of the doctor, and I have to say he's better than I thought he'd be. And I'm glad they got an attractive companion (Donna Noble did absolutely zip for me :P ). I didn't think I was going to like Matt Smith, but may...

Re: Geek help needed

you might also consider a clean install.

Back up your files (which you already do, right? :tomato: :D ) and do a completely clean install instead of upgrade.

'Well, the thing about a Black Hole – its main distinguishing feature - is it's black. And the thing about space, your basic space colour is black.
