I’m in St. Andrews for a week and a half, with a couple days in Edinburgh. Any leads on where whistles (or flutes) might be sold here?

Back in 2006/7, a number of us wrote letters to Amazon. They essentially did nothing. The guy told Amazon folks were ganging up on him. Had the negative reviews removed. (Any positive reviews were done by friends, family, business associates.)

Not a tin whistle maker. The audio stuff he sold was not real whistle or bagpipe, but all computer generated, and terrible at that. (There was a whole thread in this over a decade ago.) It would be interesting to hear the YouTube post. Once I learned what the tune was, I found a bunch of recordings by many people. (The consensus seems to be that this is a Scottish tune, though some will says it’s Irish. That sort of thing happens now and then when it comes to folk music.)
