I'm with Billh (he said what I was thinking much better than I could). BTW, are you coming at this from GHB piping?...if so, an adjustment in posture might be the key.

you could also try tilting the bag up (or down). Last thing you want it a chanter you've got to muscle to keep in place...guaranteed death-grip. As for the two different styles people have theories (like with the straight vs. u-bend bass reg arm, or the trumpet vs. ladder style bass drone) about not...

How many times are we going to have to answer this question?

Here's an idea...why don't we all chip in and buy a couple of these beasties and then loan them out to folks so they can see that they are totally useless.

Caccavale Fife

Found this in a box of old stuff I've had in a closet for a couple of decades. I'm pretty sure it's a Caccavale fife...it's chrome plated and identical to the peeler metal fife. I'm not a fifer myself (as you can probably tell by my avatar)...so I was wondering if any of you kind folks over here had...

with the dollar in the toilet you'd also do pretty good picking up a new or pre-owned set from over here. there are so many youtube clips up now (unlike when a lot of us bought our sets) that you can do quite a bit of virtual shopping for a set that fits your aural preferences.

FS: O'Grady Bellows NOW W/PIX!!!

Hey guys...Thought I'd put this up here for a bit before I went the eBay route. I'm selling my O'Grady bellows because I'm trying to fund the purchase of a new bag and drone cup. They are in great shape...totally air tight and have had padding added to the arm side by the previous owner. The leather...

I suppose that's a step in the right direction...remember, the first "queen" elizabeth would have ordered you strung up for playing the pipes...some "golden age"

Victor Wooten: OT

Went to a discussion/performance by freaky bass-playing genius Victor Wooten at the local B&N last night. He was talking about his new book "The Music Lesson" (haven't had a chance to read it yet)...and discussed how music is a language, but how we treat the learning of it so different...
