trouble with chatroom

I hope I'm in the right forum here. I have been having problems getting into the chatroom of late. I come in and it just shows my name, and the bottom of the screen says the page is connecting, and it doesn't seem to get to that point. :-? Would someone be able to look at this for me? mp3s on early music site

well, on the left hand side, the menu there, you'll see concert mp3s, and when I went to "repetoire support" on the left hand side again, they had mp3s/midis/pdfs for pieces. If you look around the site enough, you'll bump into all that stuff.

HUGE HUGE early music site!

I wasn't too sure where to past this, but I found this cruising round the net today. It is by far the biggest site for early music I've found...doubt I'll ever find anything bigger! It is at http://www.acc.umu.se/~akadkor/theory/Early-Music-Map.html You can go to http://www.acc.umu.se if you wish, a...

how to get the embochure

hee...I hope I spelled that right. I'm having trouble getting the embochure on my PVC flute :swear: I can get a consistent note, but it sounds raspy. I've been told to feel off the side with my hand for air leaking out, and I slowly change the angle to get the proper embocure. Any more tips from any...

help with PVC flute

Hey all! I just got a PVC flute. I was wondering if anybody had tips for playing it? I can basically play it, but is sounds very breathy. I have to work on control between notes/ornamentation, as this is the first time I've played anything transverse. I have to get used to the mechanics. whisterrobe...

Thanks for your advice, guys. I'm certainly not saying that ornamentation is inherinently necessary, etc, just that I wish to improve on my ornamentation itself, and get a better idea of where it may fit. I find that I listen to a song played by someone else and I think to myself "that ornament...

How to "pretty up" my songs

Hey all! Just wondering what I should do in the way of prettying up my tinwhistle songs. I find myself at a point now where I am technically proficient, and I am trying to put some ornamentation in the songs, but they aren't coming out as nice as I would like them to. Mind you, sometimes I compare m...
