Yes, I'm agree with Brad. Is not sure that oiling the flute avoid the risk of cracks (there's a lot of good info about this in the forum, search and take a look). I think the best thing you can do is taking care against quick changes of humidity and/or temperature. In my opinion, controlling both an...

Re: HOW OFTEN DO YOU OIL YOUR FLUTE?

Hola Diego,

Do you have a Lehart flute? I've got one too and I'm oiling it with almond oil from the begining (It has 6 years old and still like new). I think almond oil is cheap and easy to find.

Re: Name of this tune

Thank you Irish Marine, but I think it isn't The Otter's, although is a similar reel.
I've recorded that tune from a guy with my cell phone (ain't me the player), and I would like to find another versions to learn this tune myself correctly.

Hi
The Gallager set is still available. I've received some emails asking If I could ship the pipes to the States. Yes, I can and the shiping costs aren't too expensive.

Thanks

Thanks, P.J.

I'm agree with you. Seth's pipes are very well finished, the bellows are the most confortable I've ever tried...and the chanter sounds really poweful!

Having another set (a Martin Preshaw Half Set), I finally too...

that flute it's really a beauty and it seems to be a powerful flute. Tell us how it sounds, please Rudall Master. :boggle:

Has the R,R&C flutes a stronger tone than ones made by R&R (bigger holes, etc)?
