Re: blast from the past

I bought them from Patrick myself along with another pair my ex took with him. I might be able to take a pic. There are no markings whatsoever. I remember how surprised i was when Patrick himself phoned and said they were ready. i had long since given up on ever seeing them. I can read your concern ...

blast from the past

I was one of the first 500 or so members on this forum - back from the two even before this one. Anybody remember the charity raffle event where we all donated to Dale's causes in 10 dollar increments and donated stuff to give away? Anyway its been years since i've been active here and I don't play ...

Re: Visit with Mack Hoover

I'm so glad to hear of Mack. Many years ago now, Chiff and Fipple had a raffle based on donations to Dale's worthy charities. I was incredibly lucky to win a little aluminum E Whistle made by Mr. Hoover. To this day, this is my most favorite whistle. Its sound is sweet, its intonation excellent, its...

I just logged on after, I see, over two years of being distracted from whistles. Thanks Rich for all your work.

I use a banjo capo on my uke and my tenor guitar. We had a great time playing, chatting, snacking, drinking, smoking and not in that order either. I think it was more like: chatting, playing, smoking, chatting, drinking, playing, smoking, eating, chatting, drinking, playing, smoking, playing, chatti...

Well, no choice here, I have short, crooked pinkies with no hope of reaching the whistle body. I just leave my ring finger down a lot, usually on the hole, mucking up my intonation, what of it there is.

In fact it is thanks to my pinkies that I gave up r******* for whistles!
