Bellows Leather Belt Source

Hello all,

I need to replace the belt on my bellows. Where in the US do people source their belts? Thanks!

DopBox or Google Drive are both free and easy ways to share files.

Re: Drone stability

Establishing correct posture early on is really key. The point was made earlier to check your chair height which may be too high. You left leg should be at about 11 o'clock with your knee at about 90 degrees, your right leg around 2 o'clock with the knee bent so the foot is underneath you. This will...

Re: Uilleann pipes case question

I have two cases that I use. The first is a mountain dulcimer case which I like because while being compact, I can still fit my full D set in it without messing with the drones. For travel I use the aforementioned ProTec viola case with the guts pulled out. I also put elastic straps on the lid so I ...

Well, you could always pick up this reinforced blowpipe connector for that Crowley set.

Re: Patrick Sky's "Budget" vs. David Daye Penny

I'll also give the thumbs up to Tim & Stephanie Benson, Tommy Martin and add Kirk Lynch. All are great pipe and reed makers and located in the US if that's where you are. They all make high-quality, affordable instruments - not budget sets, so you aren't sacrificing anything on that front.

I hope you're able to post what you learn. I'd love to hear more about Egan. What I have read is the available information in O'Neill's and the Seán Reid Society Journal.

Re: Willie Clancy Week 2016 - Tips and Tricks!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I am pre-registered for classes so once more information comes out I'll have that portion of things settled. I'm staying in town so accommodation is set. As I won't be driving k don't have to worry too much about chasing sessions as I'll just be going where things look ...

Froment's D's are rushed, but not his flat chanters are not, at least the ones I've played.

Re: What is a Rowsome Style Chanter

Anyone care to comment on Froment's take on the Rowsome style chanter. He was mentioned in the original post and I haven't read about the evolution of his chanter designs.

Re: Is the influence of Tommy Reck underestimated?

There are some great videos of Tommy playing at the Dutch Tionol in 1989. I thought they were out in the open, but they appear to just be on the NPU site. I'm a huge fan of his style of playing.

Thanks for the responses all, it's holiday weekend here and I've been a little busy. I'll be getting back to everyone. The chanter is a Froment.
