I meant those rings on the brass ferrules - if there are any ferrules at all. If not - wood or trims of course would also do.

Hi Bellows, could you possibly post a close-up foto of ornamentation-rings? I think while the "design" might change in the course of a pipemaker´s life, they might change less frequently. Their depth, distance, shape, sequel are a bit comparable to fingerprints. Even if they will not make ...

Yes, thanks, I meanwhiie heard the same from a friend of mine, who had a Roberts-set (Uilleann Pipes): The stamp is as such.

I had a look throug my Seamus Ennis - CDs and found a copy of Feidlim Tonn Ri´s Castle. I had forgotten that decades ago a friend had burned me one.

Since sndup is limited to 15 MB I had to split it into 4. Here is part 1 (to be continued later).
