After reading the article, I’m wondering if there is a correlation.

Re: Flute playing and Gerd

I have GERD. It is awful. I’ve never seen my GERD have any correlation to my flute playing. It’s more related to diet, I think. But maybe if you play using a lot of glottal stops there might be a connection. I don’t play that way. I’m treating my GERD with diet & meds.

I have a keyless Copley and can testify that Dave's delrin slide works well. Jim - I just checked the Copl...

Re: McGee GLP, volume?

I’ve owned two GLP flutes in the past. Lovely flutes but not session canons. I switch to David Copely flutes and really love them. They give me everything I wanted from the GLP but didn’t get. I have small hands too.

Re: Anyone interested in selling?

nice ! what maker? Eilam. It is good to see your post here. Did you survive the fire ok? For those who don’t know, the Thomas fire came very close to Eilam’s home. This is the 2nd largest fire in the history of California. Over a thousand structures lost. 274k acres burned (so far). The flames came...

Post 1/1/2017, is it possible to travel from the US into Mexico and back with a blackwood flute? Would I need documentation to get my flute back into the USA.

For my low D whistle, I bought a used aluminum fly fishing rod case and cut it shorter. (The non-threaded end). Works great.

Re: Williams 5 key & Clementi 8-key flutes on E-bay

Richard, there was a dandy used Dave Williams for sale at Lark Camp about 8 years ago. I sometimes wish I had bought it. Oh well. I love my current Copely flute. And "Contentment is Wealth". : )

Keyed flute in a case

A really basic question: Is it bad for a flute to sit in it's hard case with a key pushed partially open? Depending on how I fit my flute into the slots in the case, sometimes a key gets opened slightly.
