These whistles tend to be pricey when they become available. One recently sold on E-Bay for over $2,000. If you are looking to indulge yourself, here's an opp...

Re: Any experience with low-cost but quality PVC whistles?
I don't have any experience with their low whistles, but Parks and Goldfinch make very nice quality PVC whistles at a very fair price. If I'm not mistaken the lowest whistle in the Parks line is the "A". Goldfinch has a full line of whistles from low "C" to high "Eb". P...

Re: Experience with Jonathan Swayne whistle ??
Here's a link to Jonathan Swayne's website.
https://www.jonswayne.com/whistles
They are very fine whistles with an easy blowing, and sweet, not shrill, second octave. They compare very favorably with other wooden whistles.

Re: Experience with Jonathan Swayne whistle ??
At one time I had a very extensive whistle collection. Most of those have been sold, but I retained about five or six that I considered my favorites. Only two of the those are wooden whistles. One was a Blackwood D whistle made by David Boisvert. The other was a European boxwood D whistle made by Jo...

Re: Less Chiffy, Solid Second Octave
I have two inexpensive D whistles (Clarke Celtic & Walton D). Looking at the Dixon Trad, TJ Potter, or the Freeman Blackbird. Looking for a sweet second octave and perhaps a bit less breathy than the Clarke. And, I just want another whistle or two.
Of thos...

If that is a serious bid, I wonder what my O'Riordan African Blackwood High D Whistle would bring on the open market?

Try Micho Russell, Doncha O'Briain, Sean Potts, and Sean Ryan. For low whistle, try Davey Spillane.

Folkcraft Instruments makes a nice case specifically designed for tinwhistles or Native American flutes. Price is $80.00 with free shipping. Re: Buying a whistle in Cleveland Ohio, an effort in futilit
I can't help with finding whistles in Cleveland, but Detroit musicians can always drive about an hour to Lansing where they can find Generation, Clarke, and Walton whistles at Elderly Instruments. They usually maintain a pretty good stock. I doubt you will be able to try them all out due to health c...
