Re: Question about Olwell Rudall

Jim, have you checked your post count lately? I cannot believe that, given the amount of flute talk you've participated in, that you would ask this. I would have thought that between you and Jessie that you had bought and sold a few of these by now. More power to ya, that after 10 years or so you're...

Re: Tom McElvogue set

I'm not talking about "hooting". Nor even trying to be a distraction. Your comment is well taken though. If I ever make it over there I'll be sure to keep a lid on it.

Thanks for the names of the tunes.

Tom McElvogue set

Hello All, Someone posted a link to this set on YouTube. Anyone know the names of the tunes and/or recording where they can be found? Awesome set, but the camera guy should be shot. Also, the patrons in the bar must be so used to awesome trad music that they don't seem to react much. I'm wanting to ...

Re: 10 yrs ago

I was in China getting acquainted with my newly adopted daughter. It took an extra week to get back home to the US. The whole experience of that day was something to live through for all of us. I think the country changed for some ways in the better that day and ways for the worse.

Hello Casey, I play one of yours and wouldn't play anything else. Thanks for the great work you do. I'll look forward to reading the online history.

Re: Leaving

You guys are a trip. These locked threads don't even hold a candle to the old days with Andrew Kirby and company. You should put way more spirit into it. Dale and MT Guru: no reason I can see to lock it down. As long as there's no 4-letter words flying let the boys have their fun. Possibly you're ex...

I thought that she plays an Olwell Pratten. I know that's what she used to play anyway.

I just can't bring myself to let those controlling so and so's at Apple have any of my money. Plus I absolutely hate my iMac. You'll need to put the app out in Android format like tunepal.

Re: Adding a tuning slide to a Casey Burns Boxwood Rudall?

I had a tuning slide and rings retrofit by Casey this year. It went great. Email him and let him know what you want to do. Casey's flutes are the best.

The flute guy makes that commercial! I hate BK, but the commercial is fairly entertaining.
