Re: Playing for Scottish Country Dancers Tune key question

I, too, used to be an avid RSCDS dancer (even taught for a while, within my branch, even though I'd failed my certificate test (on one detail of my own dancing, not the teaching portion)). In Portland, OR, we were stuck with recorded music most of the time--but when we did have live music, it was al...

Re: Help Choosing Irish Flute

Personally, I'm really, really happy with my M&E polymer keyless (so much so that I'm eyeing one of the M&E keyed flutes in the UIE forum). Right about the same price range at The Irish Flute Store, or possibly a little less direct from the maker. --Maya Edit--About the same as a new Burns F...

Re: On the Advice of the More Experienced....

Oh, and--I do intend to be a non-gratuitous participant if/when I feel I have something useful to say (at least as long as the whistle/flute cycle lasts...). Thanks again.

On the Advice of the More Experienced....

Hello, again-- As I said in my last post (Subject: "Hi, There!"), I'm trying to get the posts in to be able to send PMs, so as to see about purchasing an item from the For Sale forum (well, probably only one, though it's one of two, and there are some other things of interest...). One of t...

Hi, there--

Hello, all.... I've been a reader of C&F for... a long time. I think I was a member at some point in the dim & distant past, but lost all login credentials in the void. I was motivated to a new registration by the desire to respond to a couple of For Sale postings. But it turns out that I'm ...
