Anyone have a delrin Oz whistle they want to sell? I had one that got stolen a few years ago, and would love to have one again for playing outside

I got custom earplugs made and didn’t get on with them, I just use the Quies mouldable wax ones you can get at the pharmacy if I’m ever somewhere loud. I have some Flare audio ones I quite like that aren’t too expensive.

I tried lots of ribbon mics a few years ago, and settled on an AEA R84, sounds sublime on flute and whistle :-) (and fiddle) you can boost the top end to get extra clarity and it sounds great. You need quite a lot of gain from the preamp but any good preamp should do that without any noticeable nois...

An SM58 is fine, but I’d say the reason you see them so often in pictures is because it’s the default “does everything” mic, and few people bring their own mic for gigs... my favourite would be the Neumann KMS105 vocal mic - expensive, but makes a huge difference to the top end response especially o...
