Re: Unusual Pakistani practice set on eBay US

Davy,

I can see you've been using this lockdown period to good effect.

You should have put this on your main thread and pushed it up towards its century.

By the way, will you retire that thread when it reaches 100 and put someone else in to bat?

Keep swinging the willow there, lad.

Re: And the winner is....

Does anybody know where the Coyne set is now? Was it also left to N.P.U., or is it being played somewhere?

Re: Scott, London christian name?

Will you be restoring it yourself? What degree of damage/neglect has it suffered down through the years? Have you had it reeded and playing at all? It's always interesting to see these old instruments. I didn't see anything about the instrument at the time Tom speaks of and indeed had never heard of...

Re: cover pictures in An Piobaire

For recognition of their contribution to uilleann piping, perhaps someone who's hosted a piping club for many years and has welcomed newcomers and helped players to progress. Perhaps for want of a better phrase unsung heroes. Such a person I heard about recently is Noel Devine in Belfast who's help...

Re: cover pictures in An Piobaire

This is probably a slightly odd question. Which piper(s) do you consider most deserving of a cover picture in An Piobaire who hasn't yet had this honour? (that's not to say that anyone who has already been on the cover didn't deserve the honour). I'd imagine most of the high profile pipers around h...

Re: Ebay Items

Hey, Yeah, I’ve stuck em up for sale. Nice hints from you folk before. No secret. They’ve sat in my cupboard for the past 6 years. I got them from a lady from the north of Scotland, who had originally got them from north of England in the 80s. They’ve left a few pipemakers scratching their heads! I...
