Tuning slides!

I dare say this topic has already been covered but just incase I thought I would ask again.

I have an old chieftain low D one piece which sounds and plays lovely, but the tuning is dubious at best. Has anybody successfully added a tuning slide to one?

Hi all I'm in the possession of a lovely practice set of uilleann pipes made a long time ago by Martin Preshaw. Just one more, which wood did you go with for the lochalsh pipes? He seems to do and interesting mix of local woods.

Just need to sell the uillean pipes and move on. Had a bit of a bash as I made a rather excellent swap for them, but just not for me.

Am based down in Cornwall in the uk, not sure ther are many makers down at this end?

Sounds like A is the way forward then!
