Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

For service purposes we're probably going to eventually need clearer terms than just "scooter" in order to readily distinguish between the seated and standing kind, methinks. I agree. I was rather confused by your original post, so I held my mouth closed for a while. The picture looked li...

Re: Help in identifying this instrument

I think it is a bass flute, the South American moseño. Though yours has more ornamentation on the outside than I normally see.

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

I'll only use the scooter's top speed to escape from hungry bears, marauding Juggalos, or the like. I promise. Does the twin cities have a lot of hungry bears and marauding Juggalos? Back to electric vs. mechanical bike: Yesterday afternoon I had the direct comparison, when I cycled on my $1...

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

Now I'm slightly shocked - I thought buggies were the pinnacle of technology for the Amish? ;) It would be a bit off topic to get into it too much, but the Amish are quite a bit different than people's ideas of them. Rules for the Amish are set by their local community and many times technology isn...

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

Thanks for all the information. :) I've only felt well enough to bike to work 2 days but I've gathered data about the feasibility for me. (I think my allergy medicine was making me feel nauseous every morning. I've stopped taking it now, but I there are still mornings that I don't feel great. I'm al...

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

What do you (Nano and Kade1301) do in less-than-clement weather conditions (rain or snow)? I am wanting to move toward using an e-bike but my wife isn't fond of the idea of me driving to work in the snow. (The snow hangs around for a while, gets really really dirty and then sticks to everything. So ...

Re: Case storage of Rudall type flutes

This is my Terry McGee’s Rudall 5088 model in a case provided by Terry. I had been confused since I thought all the joints were supposed to be stored separately, but my final conclusion was “Eh. He knows what he is doing.” http://res.cloudinary.com/dvwj6imgt/image/upload/c_scale,w_879/v1530610854/IM...

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

Perhaps, at 25 lbs, this is out of the question? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ninebot-One-A1-Electric-Unicycle-310WH-free-shipping-from-CA-with-Warranty-new-/262788562792 Bob Before I clicked the link I had hoped it was a hang glider. Any idea how fast that can go? For comparison, one video I watched s...

Re: Consulting the Electric Foot Scooter Oracle

Where will you put your harp when you go to the pub? It doesn’t look like it has much instrument storage room.

They are so cute. Looks can be deceiving. Are you familiar with the old Scottish clan motto, "Touch not the cat bot (without) a glove"? It refers precisely to the Scottish wildcat. If I’ve learned anything from this thread it is that my ability to blink and my chakras should be good enoug...

It isn’t a YouTube, I talked with some of their staff and they have their own type of video player. I don’t know much about it.

Oo. I had read an article a few months ago from BBC about the Highland Tigers being endangered so it is nice to see the kitten news.

They are so cute.

Re: OAIM

Has anybody learnt to play the tin whistle with the Kirsten Allstaff's Whistle Basics? I was happy with the first free lessons and ready to sign up - but then I found lesson six, Shoe the Donkey, to be rather disappointing. Because when the tune became difficult and hard to retain, the lesson speed...

...& yet another update. :D Haven't been putting a lot of time in on these lately, (as I ordered a Damian Thompson delrin beginners flute), but when I have, my embouchure & fingering are getting better - my new delrin flute, (with offset holes), should be with me tomorrow - so I should know...

Re: Playing louder

You’ve already got a ton of feedback so I just want to provide clarification: For information on practicing overtones see Lesl Harkers’s page for a thorough explanation: https://iflute.weebly.com/tips-for-students.html She also has a nice exercise listed there: http://iflute.weebly.com/uploads/9/7/6...
