Is the piper you admire and wish to emulate still alive? Do they give lessons? Can't think of a better way to develop a specific style than personal tutelage! Do you want to sound like Seamus Ennis? David Power could help you get there. I suspect others on the Chiff board could give similar examples...

David Power taught us this one in a workshop once, if he is watching the forum, perhaps he could comment?

Have you been asked to play Over the Hills and far away?

Hope you don't mind if I chime in. Take classes with two *different* pipers when you have the chance. You'll learn something different from each. If you can get a class with Benedict, he's an outstanding teacher.
