Re: Sweet Shannon

I have one and I am very happy with it. My flute has the offset holes which I find very comfortable.

Somers Aluminum Flute

I was wondering if anyone here owns or has played the Somers Aluminum flute with the delrin head.
Can you tell me your opinions on it?

Tounging?

Hi all, I come from a fife and whistle back round and I am now learning to play flute. I play ITM. My question is should I be tounging every note, like on the fife, or, blowing like on the whistle? Or should I be using a combination of the two? I seem to have the best success when I use a combinatio...

Delrin Flutes

Hello,
I am an adult beginner and would like suggestions on purchasing a delrin flute. If possible I would like to stay in the $500 dollar (US) range. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Cheers

Low D suggestions

Hello,
I am planning on buying my first Low D and would appreciate any suggestions on what one to purchase.
I would prefer something in the lower to medium price range and something not requiring to much of a finger stretch.

Cheers

Re: Looking to upgrade

I have been thinking of going with a brass Killarney. I like the sound of them from the clips I have heard.
Any comments on the breath requirements?

Re: Looking to upgrade

I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me to the forum and for all of your suggestions and comments. I have done a lot of listening since I first posted and have come to some conclusions. First, I am not sure that for me there will be any one whistle that does it all. I'm sure I will end up wi...
