Since you will be off your feet for a while, I figured I should get off my backside and dig up that thesis I've been threatening to send for 5 or 6 years......(too bad it was for closed end though...)

Not just any old electrical tape...you want the high-voltage stuff, quite stretchy, usually gray...it will sort of bond to itself and comes off cleanly....I have a flute w/ the same broken joint in my lap as I type this.......got to get around to fixing it sometime.......too easy just to keep playin...

I've stolen one of the kids laptop cases (they'll never miss it...) A small gun case just slides into the pocket on top. The bottom dollar in a compact hard-shell case has to be a rollup stuffed into a piece of PVC pipe w/ end caps...
