Clunky G string

Hi. I have a very nice Oakwood short scale tenor tuned e a d g. I 've been playing for about six months. Have changed the strings a couple of times in that period for the same gauge as the originals but I have never been entirely happy with the G. Although the tuner shows it is in tune it always sou...

Re: V pipes

Thanks for the feed back. I have to admit I am tempted but I am put off slightly by the cost and as I found when I enquired there is a waiting time of 6 to 8 weeks. I should explain that while I am a beginner I am not a raw beginner I have been playing whistles for a good long while and I have owned...

V pipes

Re: Holifield Low D whistle tour

hello All. I must reply to the question about a non tuneable version of my low D. I have no plans to produce one at the moment. I just wanted to put that to rest here and now. I would also like to let everyone know that due to the pressure of work, having just started a new job I may be forced into ...

Re: Banjo's ???????

Sirchronique, I agree with much you have said. I was once told many many moons ago by a semi pro bassist that "if you are left handed you should sell that right handed guitar and buy a left handed one as you will only get so far picking with your wrong hand" I took the advice. All my strin...

Banjo's ???????

Hello everyone. I have a question to throw into the ring. Banjo's to be more exact tenor banjo's. I would be interested to hear opinion on the best value and favourites for Irish/celtic music. I ask as being a left handed player I do not have a great deal to try in the average music shop. The other ...

5. Bournemouth.
6. Liskard, Cornwall
Hope you like it. Have fun.
