I hate to say this, but the Pats deserved to lose based on their on-field performance. The Colts were the better team yesterday.

I went to college in Cleveland in the mid 80s, and I always like the scenes of the parade and Santa. The parade was shot on Cleveland's Public Square and the Santa shots were from Higbee's department store. I always liked going into Higbee's, because it was one of those old downtown department store...

Waterson Carthy--Seen 'em?

Has anyone seen Waterson Carthy before? They're coming to MA in March, and I'm thinking about going. Any thoughts?

Have fun at the Boston Camerata concert. I've seen them 5 or 6 times over the years, and I've never been disappointed. This year's Christmas program, based on their French Christmas music CD, is one of my favorites.

In Plymouth, MA (not the NH version), there is a store called Celtic Fire (www.celticfire.com) that has a small selection of whistles. It's probably a 2-3 hour ride from Concord, NH.

I have never bought anything from this place, so I can't vouch for it. However, it's another place to consider.

Walden, I've always wondered what a baby Tribble looks like. Seems very similar to a dog, although maybe they take their final tribble form as they mature!

Hi human--can't resist asking this. Doesn't school start next week? What have you been doing all summer when you should have been practicing your whistle? :P

Hi Erik--good luck with the braces. I had mine for about 3 years. During this time, I played trumpet. (I still play trumpet--just no braces for the past 25 years.) I didn't find the wax to be very useful since the moment I applied pressure from the mouthpiece, the wax would be pushed in and I'd be b...

They have mountains in AL (as in "Mountain Brook")? See, I learned something new today.

Good to hear things are going well so far. Wishing you continued success.

Put that biology degree to good use as a seal trainer at the Monterey Aquarium. If that isn't feasible, become an secret agent--Julia Child was one before her cooking days (an agent, not a seal trainer).

Bloomfield--add "Sleeper" to the old Woody Allen list. That's a good one I haven't seen in ages.
