Did your friend tell you what material the whistle is made of? Nickel, brass, sterling silver?

I've seen them go for between $125.00 - $150.00 US. I have both a C and D Water Weasel, and I paid somewhere in that range for each of them. Markets can be a fickle thing, however.

I have aluminum whistles by Bracker, Le Meur, Burke, Harper, and others. Never had a problem with any of them. In fact, they are some of my best whistles; nice tone, easy to play, low maintenance.
