It's a bit more comprehensive than most others I've seen! Almost info overload for a beginner like me, but no chance of getting bored.

I've gota Howard low D whistle (new mouthpiece version) and the D note is quite strong enough without wax or anything else stuck on. Also, why would I want to flatten it when the whistle is in tune?

my chanter wasn't in bad shape before the latest improvements, it's just been upgraded as the maker has improved and innovated since I bought the chanter.

See my Howard thread for my opinion on who makes good pipes. As for 'the best' probably highly subjective. It would be more useful to list the worst, like hobgoblin 'gremlin' pipes made in pakistan, and other rubbish for potential pipers to avoid.

On the London Uilleann Pipes Club website it says that Uilleann pipes are Native to both Ireland England, but they died out in England. This is not a claim I have seen elsewhere, I thought they were an exclusively Irish in origin.

Anyone out there got a copy of the above tape, it doesn't seem to be avalible now, if could you do me a copy?
