Re: THE GREAT UILLEANN YOU-TUBE THREAD.
Thanks for the weighing in, everyone. I could swear I had seen it identified as a Froment set before, and in fact it had been on this very forum, but that was in the olden days of the internet before all http was converted to https, which is why my search for the YT url turned up blank. Lesson learn...

Re: THE GREAT UILLEANN YOU-TUBE THREAD.
Curious if anyone knows who the maker of this flat set is. I can appreciate some raspy might from a chanter, but really love the melodious tone of this one. Not sure to what degree the sound engineering is playing a part here.

Re: Uilleann Pipe Buying Questions
Contact Andreas Rogge, tell him your situation, and be prepared to spend a premium on actually getting a functioning reed to survive a trip to Africa. Start with a practice chanter. Banish ALL thoughts of budget sets, tweaking your instrument or "cobbling" together various parts of pipes -...

The trickiest quadruplet
This one has me stumped, just when I thought I had a new set of tunes under my belt https://youtu.be/NbmnqX2lzs8 It’s from the second half of the B part of the second tune in this set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWx4fkf88A8 I’ve done my usual “trick” of slowing the video down to quarter speed a...

Re: Building bellows questions: leather gusset and outlet pipe
Hey Rory, bellows is in your name so I guess I shouldn't be surprised by your sense of resourcefulness on the matter
Steve, that is definitely slick bellows design
Thanks for the advice Bob, I can picture exactly what you are saying and will try something like that
Thanks, everyone

Re: Building bellows questions: leather gusset and outlet pipe
Thanks for the explanation, Mr. Wooff. I think I'll give it a go with that method. I'll just need to practice my cobblering skills on some scraps in the meantime. I'm still also looking for solid but not overly complicated "outlet pipe" construction, if anyone has advice on that. Plain cop...

Building bellows questions: leather gusset and outlet pipe
My bellows repair is really more of a bellows rebuild, so I wanted to start a fresh thread. I’ve so far salvaged the clappers (not yet sanded and cleaned) and will build everything else around them. Besides David Daye’s video, Ive also gathered some good info from this one: https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: FS: Banba bag and bellows. A little leaky, but easily playable as a practice set.
Bellows no longer available - I'll be rebuilding them myself. Bag still available, but asking $120 + $20 flat rate priority USPS shipping in the states. It's a good bag, seems in better condition than the Kelleher bag I currently use with my half set, I just don't have need for it in the foreseeable...

FS: Banba bag and bellows. A little leaky, but easily playable as a practice set.
Holds air surprisingly well, though somewhat leaky when tested: the bag leaks about one full bellows pump worth of air after one minute of forceful squeezing (maybe around 2nd octave pressure.) The paddle has a coin-slot sized breach at the paddle-gusset seam, and a couple smaller ones (maybe a few ...

Seamus Ennis plays his nose, a couple airs, and recites a poem about Ned of the Hill at Willie Clancy Summer School 1978: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UHmoYy0qx4. An all-around good time. Any info on the poem/Gaelic would be awesome. Cheers.

Bag and bellows repair or salvage
I didn't want to post this as FS because I would like others to pitch in with advice if they have any. I have a Banba bag and bellows from 2013 that are currently in somewhat of a state of disrepair, and I was curious if anyone experienced with pipes would be interested in them for repair purposes. ...

This chanter hasn't been played since I received my CP half set many years ago, so time to find it a new home. It is made of African Blackwood, I believe. Keyless. See photos: https://imgur.com/gallery/Qv502lw Needs a new reed. Asking $900 plus shipping. Email me at djzydek at hotmail dot com Exampl...
