FS B/C Serenellini 233 Deluxe
It’s not a flute, but I know there might be some people here who might be interested in an instrument like this. I’m looking to sell a Serenellini 233 Deluxe button accordion in B/C. Walnut. It’s in excellent shape and a great player. 23 treble buttons, 8 bass. LMM, with three stops on the treble si...

FS: R. Morse & Co. Céilí C/G anglo concertina SOLD
For sale: R. Morse & Co. Céilí C/G anglo concertina I’ve decided to sell my concertina. It’s about a year old and I’m the first owner. Jeffries layout, 30 keys, standard Italian reeds, 'rosewood’ stain finish, six-fold bellows. In tune. Comes with a very sturdy hard case. Well taken care of. Non...

Re: Flute Buying
An seanduine, Greenwood: Respectfully, I disagree. “Boehm flute” is perfectly acceptable usage, as is “silver flute,” when differentiating it from other kinds of flutes in English. I personally prefer saying Boehm flute, as it calls to mind its whole suite of essential characteristics (very large ho...

Re: FS: blackwood Doyle flute w/ 6 keys by Maurice Reviol
I'm reducing the price to $1750, which would include shipping within the continental US. Message me or email for photos or questions! It's a good flute; a good amount of hand-wringing was involved in the decision to sell it.

FS: blackwood Doyle flute w/ 6 keys by Maurice Reviol SOLD
For sale: blackwood flute by Martin Doyle with tuning slide and six keys by Maurice Reviol Hi everyone—I’m looking to sell my keyed flute. It came to me several years ago as a really lovely example of Martin Doyle’s keyless two-piece flutes, and between then and now I sent it off to Maurice Reviol f...

Re: 18,200 Repetitions Per Month
Ah, you're right, the accent thing is a stretch; I could have made it better, but it still wouldn't have been a perfect fit-- just an anecdote that came to mind. I should probably be more careful with a type of analogy I claimed to be leery of in the same post that I made it in! I still think it's v...

Re: Erik's carbon low d flute or Bansuri carbon flute ... opinions?
I would strongly recommend looking beyond carbon fiber. If what you want to do is play Irish traditional music, I don't know if you'll be able to get a CF flute that will consistently do what you want for a reasonable price. I understand price being an issue-- most of my first flute was payed for wi...

Re: 18,200 Repetitions Per Month
I hope this isn't too OT, but reading about accents and language learning got me thinking about another aspect of practice and one’s investment of time that’s actually been on my mind a lot lately— how easy it can be, in some situations, to spend hours and hours practicing how to do something incorr...

FS: Copley 6-key flute in Delrin
So, I've decided to sell my keyed Copley & Boegli flute. It's in D, made of delrin, and has six block-mounted sterling silver keys. No rings, and a long tenon instead of a tuning slide. Cork and key pads are in great shape. Some tarnish and scratches on the keys, but they work just fine. Plays e...

Re: Measurement on Solen Lesouef D flute
I get 8.5cm on mine-- maybe just a hair under. It may be an older version, though. I don't know how much her design has shifted over time.
